I would like to take the time to say thank you to all of those who have visited the sight, featured it on blogs, purchased prints, and have supported me over the past few months. I apologize that I have not been able to thank you sooner and have fallen behind on featuring new works and updates. My current work situation has left me with little time to pursue my artistic career and endeavors but I thank you again for taking the time to view my work and for your patience.
I am currently working on a new endeavor dedicated to the production of handmade, quality accessories for Men. What it means to be a Man is something I feel that has been lost by my generation, and it shames me to be apart of it. It wasn't until the passing of my grandfather that I realized the importance of the way I choose to carry myself and the way a man should. I plan on creating a line of accessories made from quality materials such as leather, waxed canvas, and wool. The line of products will include: Straight razor cases, Tobacco pouches, Axe sheaths, Canvas wraps for various tools and media, Pistol slings and a variety of other goods. Keep a look out for more prototypes and news concerning the project. Although my current work situation has severed me from my life as a designer and artist, working at all ungodly hours of the day does have many benefits, like updating your equipment for example. I am hoping this means there are bigger designs and concepts on the horizon. As of lately it feels as though there has been a big push in the musical direction. Many of these past nights have consisted of making instruments, making music, pissing off my neighbors, and making a lot of new friends and acquaintances. It almost feels like home. My childhood dreams came true when I received a free ticket to go to the Dew Action Sports Tour. These are pictures from the Legends Pool Jam. I was able to see many of the innovators of skateboarding skating in a pool the way it all started. I was like a wide eyed child watching them skate but most of the kids there had no idea what an epic event they were witnessing . As a matter of fact I felt really old, Most of the people there had no idea who Lance Mountain, Steve Caballero, Duane Peters or Steve Alba even were. They were all looking around to see if Ryan Sheckler was going to show up. I must have looked really old as well, When I first walked into the show some kids asked me to sign a waver for them as their guardian so they could skate the park. After I signed the waver for them they said, " Thanks Dad" and went to skate the half pipe. All in all the whole day was pretty awesome I meet Steve Caballero, and I got to watch some of my childhood heroes remind me why it is that I will always love skateboarding.
